Baystate Spine and Pain Center

Baystate Spine and Pain Center, conveniently located at 291 Main St., Milford, is currently accepting new patients for Interventional Pain Management treatments.

Those who have experienced chronic pain know what an impact it has on the quality of life. Some resort to surgery or heavy medication, but those options may not always relieve the pain. Beginning October 5, Dr. Simon Faynzilberg, MD, will be opening the doors on a new practice in downtown Milford called Baystate Spine and Pain Center, offering an alternative to managing pain known as Interventional Pain Management. There, Dr. Faynzilberg will join Dr. Dirk Johns as part of a team dedicated to providing patients with relief from their pain in order to help them return to a full and active lifestyle.
Interventional Pain Management is an alternative to narcotics and surgery that uses a less invasive approach to relieve both chronic and acute pain. It can be used to treat a whole range of pain disorders, such as neck, back, shoulder or knee pain as well as headaches. This innovative approach to pain management utilizes a team of specially trained physicians and therapists to identify the source of the pain and treat it promptly while avoiding surgery and heavy medication. Treatments are often administered in as little as 20 minutes, and patients typically experience improvement within just a few appointments. Because the treatments are minimally invasive, there is little downtime for patients who are anxious to return to their regular daily activities.
Baystate Spine and Pain Center's approach to treatment avoids the use of prescription medications which may mask a patient's pain, and make it difficult to find the cause of the problem. Instead, the source of the pain is identified and efforts are made to rehabilitate any related weakness in order to avoid future flare-ups.
Dr. Faynzilberg, MD, completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Harvard Medical School as well as a fellowship in Pain Management at Penn State Medical School. He brings with him over 25 years of medical experience, much of which has been focused in the pain management area.
Baystate Spine and Pain Center is conveniently located at 291 Main St. (Rt. 16) in Milford, between the Post Office and Milford Regional Medical Center. New patients are welcome, and priority appointment scheduling is given to those in need of immediate pain relief. Most major insurance plans are accepted, including Medicare.
