Sears Hometown Store

When it comes time to buy a major appliance, most of us are accustomed to heading to Sears at the mall or perhaps going to a big home improvement store to view an assortment of options. But Sears Hometown Store of Whitinsville offers all the variety and price advantages of a larger Sears, with all the convenience and service of a small, neighborhood store.
Owner Rick Mott opened the 5,000 square foot showroom in June of 2011. It features a full assortment of appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers and vacuums along with lawn and garden equipment including tractors, lawnmowers, snow throwers, chain saws, trimmers, blowers, power washers, grills and patio furniture. All related tools and accessories can be found here too. In addition to the Kenmore and Craftsman brands for which Sears is so well known, the store features the top 10 appliance brands and Husqvarna products as well.
Along with the great selection, personalized service is a priority here. "It's not like walking into the mall and searching around for someone to help you," says Mott. The knowledgeable staff is ready to help you with your selection. The Sears Hometown store can also arrange for repair for both Sears products and other brands as well.
When it comes to pricing, there are lots of programs in place to help ensure that customers get the best price around, such as the Sears Price Match Policy. "If you find an item we carry at a competitor at a lower price, we match the lower price plus give 10% of the difference," explains Mott. There is also a Craftsman price guarantee right now which guarantees that, if you find a better price on a comparable tractor, mower or line-trimmer at a major home improvement store, Sears will match it and give a gift card for up to $100. On April 27 and 28, the store will feature "America's Greatest Yard Sale" with the lowest prices of the season on select lawn and garden equipment. Mott encourages customers to visit the store for details on all the specials. Customers who apply for a Sears credit card while there will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a new vacuum cleaner package valued at over $350.
Sears Hometown Store is located at 1167 Providence Road in Whitinsville, in the same plaza as Shaws. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call 508-234-1500, like them on Facebook, or visit www.searshometownstores.com.
