As soon as patrons walk into Milford's Pepperoncini's Pizzeria Bar and Grill, they'll immediately take in the delicious aromas of the kitchen, as well as the fun and casual atmosphere the restaurant has to offer customers of all ages.
Owner Vince Loscerbo opened up the Milford eatery in 2010. Loscerbo, who is originally from New York, began his career in the restaurant business when he opened up a New York style pizzeria establishment in Framingham in 1999. Wanting to own and operate a full service menu restaurant, he eventually opened up Pepperoncini's in Framingham. With the success of that business, he went on to open his second Pepperoncini's in Milford, where Loscerbo also lives with his family.
Loscerbo said his restaurant's unique moniker came to him when he was trying to think of a name for the eatery and a jar of pepperoncinis was sitting on the counter. "I thought it sounded good," he said. And thus, Pepperoncini's was born and seems to have something for everyone.
For sports fans, 12 big screen televisions are displayed throughout the restaurant broadcasting the latest games. In addition, Pepperoncini's offers 35 cent wings during all Red Sox, Patriots Bruins, and Celtics games and the full service bar offers 16 beers.
The dinner and lunch menu has everything from delicious New York style pizza, to subs and wraps as well as steak tips, burgers, and chicken entrees. There's even a gluten free pizza. Loscerbo says he's always trying to change up the menu to offer variety to his customers and for the more adventurous eater, he recently added alligator pizza to the menu. For the youngsters, favorites such as chicken fingers, fish sticks, grilled cheese, and pasta are available."We're a very kid friendly place," said Loscerbo, the father of two, himself.
In addition to its delicious food, Pepperoncini's also has live music on Friday evenings and Trivia Nights on Wednesdays.
Loscerbo says being a business owner in Milford has been a very positive experience because there's a certain camaraderie among other businesses owners in town. "We're very supportive of one another," he said.
Pepperoncini's is not only about giving its customers a great dining experience but also about giving back to the Milford community. The restaurant has made donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center, as well as Milford High School.
Pepperoncini's is located at 201 East Main St. and is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight and Thursday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A full menu and more information can be located at www.hotpizzacoldbeer.com or call 508-478-7377(PEPS).
