Alternatives announces the schedule for their free summer concert series starting on Friday, June 29 with a concert by the Blackstone Valley Bluegrass Band. This concert, which begins at 6 p.m. on the Alternatives Community Plaza, 50 Douglas Rd., Whitinsville, precedes the town’s Independence Day fireworks display later that evening.
The concert series resumes on its usual Thursday evening schedule on July 12. All concerts are from 6 to 8 PM and, in case of inclement weather, move indoors into the Singh Performance Center. Kindergarten Playground Social to be held at Milford K-2 SchoolsCategory : General
WHAT: Milford families with children entering Kindergarten will have the chance to meet prior to the start of the school year at the “Kindergarten Playground Social” to be held at both Brookside and Memorial Elementary Schools. It’s a great afternoon for incoming kindergartners to become acclimated to their new schools and to meet new friends. Ice Cream treats donated by each school’s PTO.

RadKids Course Category : General
The Upton Police Department will be holding a free RadKIDS course August 20-24 at Memorial School, Main St., Upton. RadKIDS is a personal safety course that will teach children to recognize, avoid, resist and if necessary escape violence. The class will be held in two groups, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. for children between the ages of 5-7 and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for children between the ages of 8-10. Parents are encouraged to join the class with their children. Registration forms can be picked up at Upton Police Headquarters and returned by the August 15 deadline.
