    MILFORD–Thanks To Yanks, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to provide support and resources to military members, veterans and their families, will hold a fundraiser Beer & Bacon Event on Sunday, April 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at CraftRoots Brewery, 4 Industrial Rd, Milford.
    Admission of $25 covers live Live Music provided by XRB, a pint of beer and appetizers for the bacon and non-bacon lover. Tickets are available at the door, no reservations needed.

    All jewelry carries a lifetime guarantee. Returns are accepted within 30 days for a refund, credit, or exchange. A portion of the sales goes to the Milford Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, which conducts many fundraisers throughout the year.

  • The Prince is Having a Ball

    HOPKINTON-Enjoy a one-of-a-kind “royal” event for princes and princesses of all ages, on Sunday, April 29 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Delbridge Family Performance Center, 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton. Children are invited to dress up in their best royal outfit and dancing shoes, bring their favorite adult guest(s), and enter the enchanted world of Cinderella. This 90-minute event includes live performances by special princesses, a dance lesson, a “photo op” with Cinderella’s golden pumpkin carriage and, of course, a chance to try on the glass slipper. Admission also includes a picture frame, an autograph book and refreshments.

    MENDON-On Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m., the Taft Public Library, North Ave, Mendon invites all to come hear Holocaust survivor Janet Applefield, speak of her childhood, a time of fear, anger and bigotry, when a young family was forced to flee their homeland and on their return, face the brutal loss of one parent and two years in a concentration camp for the other. Listen to stories of courage, resilience and survival amid the dark years of World War II. Due to the nature of this talk, those age middle school and up are welcomed.

    MILFORD-A Support Group for the Caregivers of Special Needs Children is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 17 Congress St., Milford. Friendship, understanding, empathy, resources and laughter are offered.
