Brothers of Brush Make Food Pantry Donation

Brothers of the Brush members (left to right) Russ Dudley, Jonathan Dudley, Alan Tetreault and Tom Fickner present a $650 donation to Carol Kotros, coordinator of the Mendon Food Pantry.

The Mendham Brush Association – better known as the Brothers of the Brush – recently hosted a porketta dinner at the Roger L. Wood American Legion Post in Mendon, with proceeds earmarked to support the Mendon Food Pantry. About 50 men from the community attended.

Because of their support, plus generous donations from local businesses, the Brothers of the Brush were able to present a $650 donation to the Mendon Food Pantry to aid local people in need. "The men in our town come through each and every time we hold these dinners," said President Jonathan Dudley. "Their generous participation through ticket and raffle purchases is what allows us to help those in need. These guys always make it happen."

The Brothers of the Brush want to thank the following businesses that helped make the dinner a success: Greenhouse Wood Fired Pub, Katydid Flowers, Lowell's Restaurant, Mendon Greenhouse and Willow Brook Restaurant. Commander Susan Tetreault of the American Legion post made their facility available for the event and Alan Tetreault prepared the delicious porketta.

"We're blessed to have the opportunity to give something back to our town, and I'm honored to be part of it. It makes you feel good inside," commented Pat Guertin, secretary of the Mendham Brush Association.

Any male who is a resident of Mendon or who works in Mendon and who is at least 21 years old is welcome to join the Brothers of the Brush by contacting for information.
