A Tour of a Once Thriving Milford Industry

Many of the former Milford Pink Granite quarries now bear the work of spray paint artists and others. Once a thriving industry in Milford that employed many, Milford Pink granite can be found in numerous buildings around town including Memorial Hall, the Armory, the Universalist Church, Stacy School, the Police Station, the Irish Round Tower and the World War I monument. In Hopedale it is featured at the Universalist Church, the Town Hall, Bancroft Library and tombs in the Village Cemetery.
