State Representative Candidates Forum on October 20

Democratic Party candidate Brian Murray and Republican Party candidate Sandra Slattery Biagetti – candidates for the Tenth Worcester District seat representing Mendon, Hopedale, Milford and part of Medway – will be available for residents to question about their views at the Citizens for Milford-sponsored State Representative Candidates Forum at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 20 in the Saint Mary of the Assumption Church Parish Hall at 17 Winter St., Milford.

"Our goal for the Candidates Forum is to provide an opportunity for all constituents in the area to meet the candidates and ask questions. As always, we will include the Citizens Participation segment in this year's forum, in which we invite attendees to come to the microphone and ask their own questions of the candidates," said Citizens for Milford co-chair Steve Trettel.

Candidates will be available to meet voters starting at 6:30 p.m. The forum will start promptly at 7 p.m. Each candidate will have the opportunity to make an opening statement, debate his or her opponent by asking a series of challenge questions, answer questions from members of the audience, and then make a final statement.

"Steve and I will be moderating throughout the evening. As a nonpartisan group, we do everything we can to ensure we provide a fair and balanced exchange of ideas between the candidates," said co-chair John Seaver.

Doors to the Parish Hall will open at 6:30 p.m. Parking is available in the adjacent lot and on neighborhood streets. The main entry into the Parish Hall is located on the side of the building that faces Sumner St.

Citizens for Milford is a volunteer, non-partisan, grassroots organization, which includes a diverse group of citizens who care about our community.
