Voters Pick New President, State Rep. on November 8

Milford voters will be choosing a new President and a new State representative when they go to the polls on Tuesday, November 8.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations:

• Precincts 1 and 6: Milford Senior Center at 60 North Bow Street

• Precincts 2 and 3: Italian-American Veterans Hal at 4 Hayward Field

• Precincts 4, 5, 7 and 8: Portuguese Club at 119 Prospect Heights

Early voting is currently taking place at the Milford Town Hall. Please see the adjacent article for the remaining dates and times for early voting.

In the order listed on the ballot, running for president and vice president are:

• Democratic Party candidates Hillary Clinton and Timothy Kaine,

• Libertarian Party candidates Gary Johnson and William Weld,

• Green-Rainbow Party candidates Jill Stein and Amaju Baraka and

• Republican Party candidates Donald Trump and Michael Pence.

Running for Tenth Worcester District state representative are Republican Party candidate Sandra Slattery Biagetti of Hopedale and Democratic Party candidate Brian Murray of Milford. Both seek to replace John Fernandes, who choose not to run again for the seat that represents Hopedale, Mendon, Milford and Precinct 1 in Medway.

Other races on the ballot are:

• Incumbent Congressman Joseph Kennedy III, a Democrat is being challenged by Republican David Rosa and

• Incumbent Seventh District Councillor Jennie Caissie, a Republican, is being challenged by Democrat Matthew Vance.

The two other candidates on the ballot, both Republicans, are running unopposed: State Senator Ryan Fattman, R. Webster and Worcester County Sheriff Lewis Evangelidis.
