New Absentee Ballots for September 19 Referendum

The Board of Selectmen voted on August 7 to change the wording to the Town of Milford's Marijuana Ban ballot question after the legislature and the Governor changed Massachusetts General Law Chapter 94G.

Before the wording was changed, the Town Clerk's office mailed out absentee ballots to all residents who requested an absentee ballot for all of 2017. Now, new ballots are in the process of being printed on salmon-colored paper and the Town Clerk's office will re-mail the new ballots to everyone who already received a ballot and to everyone who has requested one.

If you already voted on the first, yellow-colored ballot and mailed it in, you can re-vote. If you are satisfied with your vote, you do not need to vote again, but the Town Clerk's office asks that any unused ballots – yellow or salmon –be returned as soon as possible. It is very important when returning the second ballot that it is returned in the white return envelope with the bright yellow "second mailing" label on it.

All absentee ballots need to be mailed or delivered to the Town Clerk's office by the close of polls at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19.
