111th Eagle Scout for Upton Boy Scout Troop 132

Upton Boy Scout Troop 132's newest Eagle Scout, Nicholas Herd was recognized for his achievement at
a Court of Honor Ceremony June
9 at Kiwanis Beach. Nick is a 2018 graduate of Nipmuc High Regional School who, during his 12 years in scouting, earned a total of 21 merit badges, completed a 10-day, 120- mile trek through the Philmont Scout Ranch, N.M., and led the planning and construction of 100 feet of footbridges to help create a new trail on the Stefans Farm Conservation
Land in Upton as his Eagle Project. He is attending Bridgewater State University, pursuing his passion for blacksmithing and sculpture.
