Game of the Week: Fourth Graders Battle Marlboro (October 17)

The following week things would not get any easier for the Milford Fourth Grade Hawks. Marlboro brought their undefeated record and their punishing ground game to Fino Field. Little did the Wildcats know, this team should not be taken lightly. Once the ball was put into play on that first kickoff by the Hawks, the Marlboro team quickly knew the Hawks are for real regardless of the record or standings. Milford's offense exploded for three touchdowns, the first of any team to record that many against the usually overwhelming Wildcat defense. Once again however the Hawks were upended on the score board by the Wildcats as they thundered into the end zone with a slew of determined running backs that sometimes carried multiple defenders for extra yardage. Regardless of the score, the effort put forth by the Fourth Grade Hawks was something to be proud of. Every member of the team played hard to pick up their team mates that had suffered injury and illness. This team continues to get better each week.

The Hawk Fourth Grade Team joined the NFL in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Hawks equipped themselves with pick socks and wristbands to show their supprt of this great cause.

The U15 Cheer Squad from Milford finished 1st in a recent local event held in Lowell. They must be one of the favorites as they head into the regional event coming up in Manchester, NH in the middle of November.
